Healthy Vegan 101 is not another cookbook with a certain amount of recipes, it is a guide that helps you becomming indipendent of such. For our daily life I find it much easier to understand a few basic principles on how to cook our own healthy and delicious meals.

That’s a very good question! Many nutrition guides just make bare statements without providing any sources, which are therefore often not verifiable.

Do I have to give up all my favorite foods to live a healthy life?

No! Enjoyment is part of a healthy life and a diet can only be sustainable if we enjoy it. I repeat this several times in the book, our total diet is what matters, not the single foods we eat or don’t eat.

So no worries, you can keep enjoying whatever foods you like, it’s always the amount that matters. Building a healthy relationship with food is one, if not the most important part about changing our diet, which is why I have dedicated an entire chapter to this topic!
